5 Days till......=)

Hey people! Don’t know if you guys read my last post based upon my job hunting! (University work!)

But this is a post that is back to the hardcore gaming awesomeness that you all you dudes and dude'ts have grown to love! <3 So let’s get back into the game, press "Start" to play and catch up on what I have to talk about today!! To keep you lot entertained ^_^

*First of all, Watch this E3 trailer filled with RPG awesomeness*

5 days and counting from Monday 17th October to Friday 22nd October (the official release date of Fallout New Vegas!)

It's been two years since the brilliant Fallout 3 from Bethesda. And now fall 2010, created by Obisidian Entertainment. Comes the next adaptation in the fallout universe.

Fallout mascot! Pipboy! =P
For the people who either don't know much about this game or dislike this. Like two of my friends who are probably playing Final Fantasy 14. (You know who u are ¬ ¬)  Let me educate you into the Fallout universe. That has become an open world RPG/Action/Sandbox game that in terms of not just awesomeness, but lifespan. This game is worth every penny.

I'll try to keep this kind of short but with enough info for you Fallout haters or who don't know the game yet, since the others are probably dyeing to read the actual facts about New Vegas, which when you guys read up on as well might make you even more so interested in the game ;]

New Vegas is set in a post-apocalyptic world that is set in Las Vegas but portrayed in an apocalyptic environment.

The game just oozing out with its immersive surroundings and characters. With various factions that you can either join, kill or even become leaders off and take over the entire city =P Seriously there is soo many ways for the player to do any mission throughout the game.

*The factions developer diary, check it out =]*

The game gives the player soo much freedom that they can choose how to play and how they want their world to be. Like killing of a certain character which could affect the game world in many different ways. Being good, bad or neutral.

Almost everything becomes an influence in the game and it doesn't even have to be story related. Could just be your actions in the open world environment. Since everything is all in-game. Soo much to explore and do.

End of the day New Vegas is your world and believe me, it'll be the most immersive and brilliant RPG/Action/Sandbox (sandbox means open world ;) game of 2010. The Game just has soo much character.
Smash someones head off with a golf club XD
The first main new assets to this Fallout game are the new range of weapons. From boxing gloves (which i used when I played it at Eurogamer =P) to a grenade launching machine gun.

If you saw the video above at the start of this post, you'd see some of the sweet action and awesome immersive gameplay that is on show. For all you magic gamers XD I remember When I was at Eurogamer and one of the guys from Bethesda told us that it can actually take around 25 minutes to reach the Strip of New Vegas. Big map yay!!! =D

Oh yeah and according to gamehunters's it's a sight i just randomly found o_O they are saying that you can actually get implants now. Not boob implants! Actually I don't know, but that would be kind of cool. But anyway....Stuff like let’s say a stimpak (health regain) implant.

So your health is naturally healing when it’s not full. Instead of purchasing or finding different sources to gain more health, this will come really useful! Trust me!

Hammer of DAWN in New Vegas.

That weapon would seriously be something sick to Nuke a town. Kind of like when you can nuke Megaton in Fallout 3. Yeah which other game lets you nuke an actual in-game environment at your own will, not even story related! Hm?!??!

Anywhoo! I love pancakes...Erm yeah I’m kind of hyper now while I’m typing this haha! Mark (Cerberus) I jacked your line, if you actually bothered to read my blog you'd know!

Sorry! Back to Fallout New Vegas...So yeah the weapon customisations will be great. Since now you'll be able to for example add attachments to your guns to enhance them, such as increase fire-rate etc...Additionally I think you can also customise the ammunition, so basically you can customise your armoury pretty much, to help you personalise your combat experience =]
Your ally commands, kinda like the combat menu in Mass Effect
So yeah in Fallout 3 you could have allies that you can have on your team to help you out when you wanted that extra bit of help. Now in New Vegas it's been enhanced to a bigger scale. Compared to what Fallout 3 had, you could only really tell them to follow, stay, fire them and of course have a magical conversation if you so chose to.

But in New Vegas you have a larger list of commands that you can get your ally to do, so you have a lot more of a flexible approach when commanding your team throughout the wastelands.

Also there's Hardcore mode! Which is for people who want a most immersive and realistic approach to the game. That means!

You have to eat, drink and sleep!

Ammunition will also count as weight now.

Stimpacks will heal you slowly over time

Injuries [Like broken arm] must be cured by a doctor or a doctors bag. (Normally stimpacks cure everything)

Your allies can die. (Then again I swear they could die in Fallout 3 anyway....)

Also according to *Siliconera* you can fast-travel however depending on the distance that you must travel and the time it may take. If you character isn't hydrated or well fed or equipped enough then they can die.

(Basically put yourself in the characters position, play it that way, like what would you need etc...To survive)

Also for all you PC gamers, the spec sheet isn't even that high! The best part is that the GPU (Video card) you only need an NVidia 6 series minimum. So I’m sure you won't really need to fork out in the top of the line graphics card. If you are though, the top GPU's are the NVidia GTX480 & ATI Radeon 5970 =]

Collections Edition

Above is the collector’s edition of New Vegas. The content of this awesome package are:

deck of Cards, pictured with the various characters within the game.

replica of the lucky number 38 chip that is actually in the game.

Documentry of the making of New Vegas

A graphic novel that looks very authentic =P from the looks of it from the outside. Explaining the backstory behind the events of New Vegas. (This package is for £69.99 at GAME)

So yeah I've pretty much gone all out for New Vegas now for you people to read and have a better insight of the game. Hope this wasn't too boring with the massive Fallout theme going on so far XD But yeah....October 22nd is the release date. Try to pre-order if the collector’s edition if you want those goodies =P

Nice way to leave New Vegas

Wow that was a long sheet of Fallout goodness lol, let’s move onto another game that is also not soo far from us either. I'm talking about Lionhead's Fable 3! I played it at Eurogamer and honestly it played great.

*Just check out the new Fable 3 Revolution trailer!!! Please =]*

Now I've been using Kingmaker on a daily basis and trying to locate any nearby treasures. 6,650 gold. Today I was going to Westfield Shopping centre and KingMaker told me that there were two nearby treasure areas that i could go to. (When you locate a treasure area you are awaraded with 2,000 gold)

Now as i was walking towards Westfields, the map on Kingmaker showed that I was only 0.7km away from the GAME retail store that it was aiming for me to get to. Now at this moment I was actually getting really exited!

Being soo nearby, I started to smile that I’m going to gain my extra cash =P But then as soon as i approached the GAME store, according to Kingmaker I still had another 0.3 Km to walk. However I was right in front of the Westfield Shopping Centre's GAME store.

I did reset the app, make sure my GPS and 3G is all working good. And everything seemed fine however according to Kingmaker I wasn't at the treasure destination ¬ ¬ So that kind of bugged me, since I was at the right location. So the application has kind of screwed me over. But aw wells =[

Hopefully when i go back to Westfield's I'll take a trip to GAME again and hopefully I can obtain my extra 2,000 gold for Kingmaker.

Now If you guys have got Kingmaker, you would have received an e-mail from Lionhead to verify your registration for the application. It would have taken you through four steps for the process to be completed.

Now I've pre-ordered my Fable 3 Collector’s Edition from GAME. And in doing so you'll get a very nice reward from Lionhead, which I'll get to in a minute.

The process of the registration allows you not only to use Kingmaker, but also enables you to personalise your game even further. First off all you can create your own emblem for yourself which can be used in the game. Now I know some of you guys are probably going to think why would i care?

But whatever....I think it's pretty cool when a game lets you actually add your own customisations into the gaming world. It's a nice touch to personalise your game, to make it truly yours.

Now the next step is for the GAME pre-order bonus. Now this really annoyed me >__> you can get 15,000 gold for your game. And plus all the money you make from Kingmaker (if you have it) added you'll have a huge amount of gold to start the game with.

That award is great, yeah.....And there are two things you just need to type in. And that's your GAME reward card's number and a Fable 3 pre-order reference number.

As soon i saw this reference number thing, I was like wtf? Because I wasn't even given any number. Now I don't know if anyone even received a reference number, or perhaps some did and some didn't. So what I did was I phoned up my local GAME store to ask for the Fable 3 reference number.

Once again. I felt that GAME fails again! They asked me if I had pre-ordered the collector’s edition, and i said "Yeah I have" and then they said to me, "Sorry we've never heard of a Fable 3 reference number." I mean can't the staff there at least get posted on details like that to let the customer know if they are to receive it at a later period or not ¬ ¬

Anyways, I didn't complete registration. I instead closed it without confirming anything. Because I’m predicting that once Fable 3 is released you will receive a pre-order bonus code on the day. This should be able to be used on these online reference number things.

Now the thing that really bugged me was that, when i re-opened the e-mail, it had stated that I’m already registered and everything. So I could not re-enter any details for my GAME pre-order or anything, so it's like i lost my offer then =[ And I was kind of left to think, OMFG?!?! Seriously I just went super saiyon for a hot sec.

So what I’m saying to you guys is that have pre-ordered Fable 3 at GAME, if the same has happened to you, I’m suggesting that you make a new Kingmaker account using a different e-mail account and just don't open the verification message until GAME provide you with a Fable 3 reference number.

Fable 2 (FULL GAME) FREE DOWNLOAD
Yes your eyes do not deceive you. Fable 2 really WAS free on Xbox.com marketplace for a short period of time. I was looking through destructiod.com and I came across this, and clicked on the link that they have provided to allow you download the game for free if it's still up for it.

However since i was at work all day, by the time i arrived home and tried it, the download was no longer available ¬ ¬ so yeah Microsoft clocked onto the whole situation.

Now the time is really late! And my eyes really hurt now o_O So I really want to add more to this post, but i need the sleep. So I’m going to bed now and I'll make a new post probably later on.

Take care my magic people!
